Blessing For a New Beginning by John O’Donohue

Cultivate Clarity

IMG_5410 My current transition has taken the form of leaving my long winter’s resting place in Chicago and returning to my Portland home of the past seven+ years. Only instead of returning to my old life, I’ve become the light-footed, pickup-truck-driving woman I used to see in the mirror in my twenties. I’m her, but so much more settled into who I truly am now. And damn, that feels good!

Anyhoo, as I bounce back and forth between working at a hot springs retreat center deep in the Oregon woods and reconnecting with my Portland people, I’m finding it hard to keep up with this blog, so my mindful advice column will be on hold until I’m more settled into my rhythms. In the meantime, here’s a poem from John O’Donohue that speaks so perfectly to this week’s mindfulness practice about the internal strengths that support us through transition. Enjoy!
